Bonds are in a category of assets that i would invest in. Commodities and currencies are not. They don't produce anything, their prices are speculative. I value things based on what cash i get out of them. If a commodity doesn't produce cash for me, then i can't figure out what it's worth for me. In terms of currencies, currencies is kind of an interesting one,. While i don't trade currencies, you actually need currencies to buy stocks in different markets.
