Frank Hamer's Texas Lynchings
Frank hamer stopped countless racially motivated lynchings in texas, oftentimes single handedly facing down mobs of people or more. One time he snuck two prisoners out of the back of the jail and hid with them an alligator in an alligator infested swamp until the mob moved on. By the end of his career, frank hamer had killed 50 men in the line of duty and have been wounded 17 times. Something tells me ot earlier generations of men were tougher, maybe.
