Platonic solids were known in china long before that as well. The words used to describe them are not the shapes themselves, but the concept of them. For some reason, they don't teach us about three dimensional space very much. But when you ask people if they know what a tetrahedron is, you get a small number of people raising their hands,. It a deatrhedron. And i think fuller had a huge impact for reaching a lot of people who then goy, this should be taught. Our society doesn't understand them much.
