Reaganomics was all about cutting government spending, including an awesome idea Reagan and his cohorts cooked up to get rid of the FTC Bureau of Consumer Protection. Guess who loves fewer regulations and no consumer protection bureau and lower taxes and all that jazz? Rich guys who own MLMs. In 1987, about six years too late and with 50,000 people that we knew of already infected with the disease, President Reagan convened the President's commission on the HIV epidemic. And guess who got himself put on that board? Dick DeVos, the federally indicted soap hustler.
