Is There a Form of Knowledge?

Every communist movement in human history, i think, has had some notion of bringing people to class consciousness. The problem isn't that a knowledgesli is bad always - it's that it can't be the tonic for ignorance. I'm tempted to read freud more radically than that and say, you know, maybe his point is that until your desire has shifted, the knowledge will actually exasperate the problem, rather than ameliorating it. Is it possible that if you introduce the exact right kind of, let's say, truth and not knowledge, that could re orient the desire of the person like others have done? We both find this question very fascinating.
