The history of Korean literature has a very strong tradition of short stories and linked short stories. The short form is extremely important to modern Korean literature, but in the Anglo-European context, everything gets judged by novels. This is probably why I thought that this, the kind of emergence of her long-form novels was very important. You were one of the first authors to become really visible outside of Korea. And now with the kind of the spread of Korean culture and how visible it is now, I'm curious about how you look back on that time.
