The clay tablets were written bya students working with scholars a learning how to do their matmomic so, you know, it could well be that this was essentially a student's note book from four thousand years ago. And interest which calculations were documented in this way. The example i give in the book is a calculation of the sides of a rectangular cistern,. presumably of water and and the way it was written s very similar to the sort of problems you see in a mathematical text book today.
