i think expectation is a part of idealism, and in one sense or another, how that plays out with your your kids. I remember the first time i had to really accept, like, i don't know, ultimately, who my kids are going to become. There's this beautiful redemption and softening and breaking that happens when those ideals don't turn out. And so even accepting some of the fact that those ideals for your kids, you know, when you meet, when you come across a ation they can be crushing. But eventually there's not only redemption but also beauty on the other side as well.
