1917 Eye Witness in Petrograd
Louise Bryant was at the Winter Palace in Petrograd on November 7, 1917. She watched as ministers from provisional government were let out of building. Everyone leaving the palace was searched no matter what side he was on. A young Bolshevik lieutenant delivered a sort of sermon while this was going on. Emily Dix has traced her grandfather's teenage memories of that momentous year. The program Emily made is called 1917 Eye Witness in Petrograd. And you can find it on the BBC website and we've also put a link to it on our Facebook page to search for BBC witness.
