I moved to the US when I was 18. My extended family lived in the US earlier. We got our green card mid 2015. It took us like 10 years or so. And at that point I was graduating from high school. So luckily we had enough finances and it was logistically possible to get my mom over here to help me go. A lot of folks don't have the means a lot of folks are from here. They don't have people who are able to go to another country and get in medicine, he says.
