Budget Discipline Is a Real Key to a Strong Economy
I don't know that we'll ever really have strong growth in this country, or that we'll have a strong economy if we continue to run these sized debts. We've tried to operate for too long using the federal reserve as kind of the key to hopefully keeping economy strong. And frankly, you know, congress and the presidency have taken a walk on their responsibility to deal with the fiscal side. The worst thing about the defense budget to day is uncertainty. They don't know whether or not what they're being told is really going to be the truth. I mean, there's no question that budget discipline is a real key to our ability to send a signal to wall street"
