Oscar Wilde is a real harbinger of the modern day in Oscar Wilde, well known and perhaps most famous as the author of Picture of Dorian Gray. He's a transgressive person. If you show him a sexual law, he goes to break it. His whole life was a public performance. The sense in which he captures the essence of our age because we live in an age now where everybody is constantly living their life as a public performance on social media.
