Alvin Luciet used to take a recording, play it into a room and then take the recording he made in the room and play the room back to the room as it were. The phone does an amazing job of actually capturing the full frequency range, which is kind of amazing. It's quite a treat just to hear that clip you just heard was at 96 decibels and the phone starts to crunch. And this is what the phone hears as it's panicking near that cone.
