The Identity Marker of Those Who Follow Jesus

The author of Seabroos says that faith is the core identity marker of those who follow Jesus. Paul says this same concept in Ephesians 2, right? We are saved by faith, by grace, but faith is somehow a required element to encountering that grace. The only thing that saves is grace. Thank God I can't work enough.
