The Seven Samurai
The film is based on a fresco that Ingmar Bergman saw of death playing chess with a knight. The painter sees the squire react and he says, frightened. And then we're at another area in church where there is a powerful image of Christ on the cross. It's like this thing about fear and suffering as the part of the power of the church. Your life hangs by a thread and your time is short.
