The Importance of Torah in the History of the Yemenite Community
I was born in the United States on January 1, 1932. We came back to pre-state Israel when I was three and we've been here ever since. In 1948, we didn't have a radio. So we went over to the neighbors to hear the declaration of the state. Even though my father was invited to the declaration, he couldn't make it to Tel Aviv. He signed with trembling hands.
