The US China Tech Competition in Africa

Jane Munga is a fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, D.C. Last month she wrote an article about how US China tech decoupling will affect Africa's mobile phone market. She says there are so many levels and layers that we're beginning to see increasing on the impact of U.S.-China tensions over digital technologies. African governments are being pulled into this diplomacy conversations to work with US based companies such as Huawei or any other company. The implications now I think we can go next is what we'll talk about when the technology industry begins to be shut off due to the different tech decouplings happening globally.
