The Dormant Commerce Clause and the Pork Producers Case
Pork producers case. This is proposition 12 that passes California in 2018. It's a voter initiative about the humane treatment of pigs and what there's actually some other parts to it. For our purposes for talking about the case, this is about confinement of mother pigs during their gestational period. The national pork producers sued the claim that this was a violation of the Dormant Commerce Clause.
