The End of the Enlightenment

The beginning of the Enlightenment is often cited as the moment when Kant releases his famous essay titled What is Enlightenment. The thinkers of the time take up the challenge and they collectively decide to double down on reason instead of faith. Nietzsche looks back on this moment in history and he sees the choices that the philosophers made at the founding of the Enlightenment as an absolutely giant missed opportunity.
