This topic obviously is the focus of discussion in chapter 11 of the fiat standard, which is titled Fiat States. The key idea here is that these organizations function in a world of zero accountability. I call them the misery industry because that's what they do. They are in the business of promoting, prolonging misery and benefiting from it by using it as an excuse to print money.
