Is There Any Danger in Humans Initiating Contact With These Beings?
Whitley: I think the danger is extraordinary on a personal level. Look at the, you know, we have history on our planet of what happens when a technologically superior, but ethically indifferent culture comes into contact with an inferior one. The secrecy really starts with them, doesn't it, because they could come out and be known publicly, probably in five minutes. But they don't. Therefore, their secrecy is also part of their policy. Whitley: We will end up like the peoples of so many different areas in the world when the British showed up or the French or the Europeans in general showed up. They suddenly felt very, they felt like idiots.
