Carolina Mukova vs. Julein Niemeyer
Pam Shriver tweeted earlier that she actually thinks maybe the tools need to look into doing something about the number of withdrawals and retirements. It's just indicative of the crazy tennis schedule, I suppose. Carolina Mukova hasn't played a match since rolling arse in the final. Julein Niemeyer looked like she had the goods here this time last year. And possibly the worst unintended consequence for everybody on the WTA tour of Wimbledon not being able to award ranking points last year is that JuleinNiemeyer has been unseeded.
