Dean Obeidallah: We've been complaining about administrative bloat. He says colleges and universities have increasingly divested themselves of blue collar employees in order to chase increasingly professionalized white collaradministrators. Why? Partly it's because things like shared governance have been so consistently eroded over time, he says. And partially it's a function of the increasing complexity of the institutions, according to ObeIDallah.
