Are Economists Just a Source of Casta?
Economists have made a science out of predicting what people want to hear. In the housing bubble everybody wanted to be told that it was not a bubble, and if they bought into a the housing market, they would become rich. So there, i suppose they're a kind of entertainments. The fact that they open mouth tells you that the pertien's wrong. But it doesn't matter, because they're telling their audience what the audience wants to hear.
