The day the Iron Curtain fell, you didn't expect it. But that was also a day where the Secret Service was running a honeypot operation which never came to fruition against you. In terms of brutality, reach effectiveness, how did the Czechoslovakia and Secret Service compare to the Stasi or the KGB? I think the Romanians were particularly brutal too. You cannot put it in the same league as the Securitate in Romania. It was very widespread. There were a lot of informants and people on the ground. By the time I rolled into town by the mid 1980s, real brutality beating up people almost not done.
