The Importance of Being a Libertarian
In 1996, I was a delegate to the Libertarian National Convention from Kentucky. Harry Brown was the nominee and he did his best to be a Libertarian politician. He broadly talked about his book called Why Government Doesn't Work. And when we were talking earlier this evening, there's a pretty stark difference between the messaging that we hear from political libertarians and people like here at the Cato Institute who are lowercase L libertarians. You still call yourself a Libertarian with a capital L. May I ask why? "I want to work within the party and help build it up"
