Lawrence Balter: If I were to write you a check for the operating businesses that Berkshire owns, how much would it have to be? Big. Charlie Buffett: Where we've done well, Charlie and I made a dozen or so very big decisions relative to that work but not as big as they should have been. Lawrence Balter: Probably on the final exam, I would take an internet company and say the question is how much is this worth? And anybody that gave me an answer, I would flunk.
