The Difference Between Jan Hotsius and David Merical
Jan Hotsius is our chief economist and head of global investment research. He's been calling for a soft landing, but his view on the probability of recession has dropped from 45% to 55%. We work very closely with Jan and his team; we think there's just greater uncertainty out there. And in fact, some of the work that the team has done, like the work David Merical has done, on the highest impact of the tightening of financial conditions on GDP.
