Every new piece of evidence that comes to light actually just throws up a dozen more questions and sort of complicates the picture even further. But that's what I think what makes this area of history just so interesting because you can never find the absolute answer. There's always something that leads you into another path and that's a historian. That's what you love. You love these sort of never-ending labyrinths that you can sort of enter into and kind of interpret in new ways, from what's coming to light all the time.
