The Role of Philosophy in Strategy Creation
Do you think strategy creation is confined or destined to come out of business schools and strategy firms? I don't know. And if you're finding political scientists having that sense, that's great. Good for them. They didn't go to business school. No, I don't think it needs to or should. The backgrounds you go after ethnography and sociology, political science and the like are as likely to produce a strategist. If you asked me, I'd say, I'll take the philosopher and train them and then we'll have somebody someone great.
