How to Test Backups Properly
To store backups in object storage is very good, because S3 or GCS have a very reliable storage. But uptime might be worse than EBS volumes, for example. So when you test it, you need to understand that sometimes it's slightly down, but they won't lose your data. In my opinion, waste should be enabled everywhere.
