DACA, or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, is an Obama-era program preventing the deportation of hundreds of thousands of immigrants brought into the United States as children. The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the program contradicts federal immigration law. Current dreamers will retain their status for now.
