Eigen layer is a series of smart contracts which interacts natively with sticking. It says, hey, you've taken your ether and you have opted into slashing conditions on the beacon chain. Would you like to take additional risk to do other things for other chains? The reason why somebody might say yes to this question is that, well, you get paid for that risk.
