Snowboarder - The New Media Model That Worked

Snowboarder was bought by American media, which is not great corporate citizens. They absorbed eight million dollars worth of bad debt and wiped their hands of the whole media business. The model that emerged out of it is an old media model where you sell subscriptions for $10 a year but lose money. That's what I had done in 2017 when Snowboard had moved away from Newstand and traditional subscriptions started doing the premium subscription package. It costs like $30 to fail on those subscriptions.
