How to Be Objective When Watching a Linear Cut

The six-part HBO series is linear so when you're going into subjective points of view with the different characters are you going in a non-linear fashion or are you just following their story as they see it. You're bouncing through time but within that character's line and sometimes sometimes it hands off sometimes you follow one character and then it'll hand off to another character. Depending on which paths you take if you follow one or one of the main lines you become kind of quarantined from another one of the characters main lines. Your understanding of this murder and who committed it and why it happened will be very very different than someone's understanding who followed a different character, he says.
