The Importance of Speculative Methods in Education
Speculative methods is a way to work with the uncertainty of the future. It's really more about accepting that we can't actually know, and therefore there are creative and interesting things we can do in the present With ideas of the future that are helpful now. And so I see these methods and approaches as fitting with some other traditions of critical education futures like inventive methods and also speculative design.
