The Quality of a Player Is an Emergent Property, Right?

A paper from Ben Torvany argues that quality is an emergent property. He says we shouldn't be looking simply in terms of these essential attributes. We need to think about game models and what makes a player fit at this team and not that team. I'm completely on board with that one in terms of understanding it as this piece that will never be fully defined.
