The Early Days of U2

"When we started the band we had absolutely no idea where it was going to go and we were just doing something we loved to do so the early days of U2 we were super dedicated to being becoming better songwriters," says Bono. "We toured an awful lot early early on we we played so many concerts and I think that was an important experience for us because I think there is a way when you're presenting your songs live on stage to an audience there's a way that that leaves you with a with an understanding of what a great song is", he adds.
