The Difference Between the Binary and the Continuous Outcome

Yen: An ab test is really designed to measure the binary outcome, that is, did this have any effect? And that's a binary question, so as ether yes or no. But yet people take the results of an a b test and try to apply a continuous solution - how much was the effect? This is a very, very different question and much more difficult to answer. So i know there's a trick component to this as well, in terms of the sample size you use.
