Is Pabmaloka Threatened?
All of our structures, both within ourselves and all around us can and indeed will be taken away. It is well worth contemplating the incredible Buddhism that would have existed in Central Asia. The forces of evil are vast and terrible. We're talking about the ravages of impermanence. That's where we are. Yes, we can do a lot of good. I really believe that our community, our order, our tree, around the community does make a tremendous difference. On a recent retreat, people told me they would have been dead if they hadn't found the Dharma.
