The Impact of Staffing on Infection Rates in Community Hospitals
Hospitals that had monthly COVID-19 patients representing a larger proportion to more than 10% of their admissions had a collapsed standardized infection ratio. Infections caused by regular negative tests also increased by 130%. Less staffing and there's plenty of publications in over the last few decades on a very close association between staffing and healthcare associated infections.
