The Federal Reserve Banks Are the Fiscal Agents of the Treasury
The Constitution is clear that Congress has the authority to coin money, whereas the Federal Reserve banks simply are the fiscal agents of the treasury. We don't want such an idea to turn into another government way to gather data on American citizens and craft some new perverted surveillance state. The reasons that we saw these banks recently fail was not because of any crypto activity but because of poorly managed interest rate risk following a period of extraordinarily over accommodative easy money in this country. And I think the federal courts will hopefully prove me right on that assertion.
