Columbia Can Win This War Militially?

When you become defence minister in two thousand and six, is there part of you that still thinks that columbia can win this war militarily? Did you think you could defeat the fark, or did you think that at some point there need to be a process? I always thought that the war would end in a negotiating table. And so ed at that point, though, that must have seemed like the very definition of easier said than done.
