Is There a Bedrock for Knowledge?
The more i tried to find a bedrock for knowledge, the more i uncovered our inability to do so. Analytic philosophers tend to hold a scientistic view of the world. And they certainly don't have the same version of objective truth as pope benedict. So there's something a bit puzzling about this assertion of objective truth. It begins to look as if the assertion of objective th is not based on some observation of the evidence. It's just a desire to say, i'm right, and i don't want there to be any further conversation about it.
