What Happened to Taylor Swift?
According to the New Yorker, Kanye apologized to Taylor privately and actually ended up taking a year off to recover from the incident. A video leaked of the then president Barack Obama saying that the young lady Taylor seemed like a perfectly nice person whilst Kanye looked like and I quote a jackass. The song was addressed to Kanye with lines like 32 and still growing up now, who you are is not what you did. You're still an innocent. Yolanda Sanguani wrote for Essence that the song was patronizing. She also criticized Taylor for playing into the victim villain dynamic to her own advantage. If only West and Swift wouldn't have played so perfectly into their roles, the innocent white girl
