In 19 88, he's released from prison. The city of buffalo doesn't want him. He begins exchanging letters with a widow named marie longley who lives in the very british sounding town of barton upon humber really, reallyally. A so he gets her more and more to reveal all the details of her like, um, that she is a policeman's widow. She so she makes a pension. She owns her own house, and she has a modest but stable income. And he's like, ding, ding, Ding, ding I'm in love.
