Happiness is a state of mind, your general state, and not an emotion. It's up to you to decide that it is a priority that is important for you. We are very often defining our feelings with like good, bad, trust or unbrella terms. If i were to ask you right now to share what you feel in a few words with someone, the emotion starts changing again. So define happiness as anything, be joy, bliss, enlightenment, well, lets say bliss or joy. And then obviously it's going to be elusive, because you define it as an emotion, which changes while you're living.
