Mishima's Remarks About the Military Tradition
Mishima's view of life is aesthetically different and supercharged in relation to what is currently part of present civility. Never before has the citizenry been so disempowered in relation to military life. The bulk of the population never comes anywhere near armed force, or utilisation of that force. One of the last Western countries to get rid of military training for the youngest France was always done on bare lines of cost.
