Rewards and Story Development in Prose
The rewards are part of the way of letting the reader know that you're making progress. The grind isn't fun when you're dedicating a few hours of your life to fun. You do not want en up of a character that is overpowered. And similarly, it's important to track your rewards because an under our character is just going to be miserable.
