The Influence of Culture on Personality

The biological perspective focuses almost exclusively on the nature side of the nature versus nurture debate. Because of this focus other factors that are integral to the personality are not included. Culture is one of the most important environmental factors that really shapes our personality and considering those influences on the personality it's important because western ideas and theories are not necessarily applicable to other cultures. Research shows that personality traits varies greatly across different cultures.
